Q: Where is Oceanic Hair Collection based? 

A: We are a New Zealand based wig business run by family and based in Auckland. Real people you can chat to!

Q: Can I come and pick up my wig?

A: Yes but we can only offer this option from within Auckland.

Q: Are your wigs in stock?

A: Yes! You can buy with confidence from us. We are a professional wig business and we have a beautiful range of lace front wigs that we keep in stock ready to ship. We do not stock to order so if the wig you want to buy says we are out, it is in the process of being restocked. A lot of the time when we don’t have stock it is because we are t to find to find a better quality alternative. Contact us to see how far away it is. 😊

Q: Do you have a shop where I can try on styles? 

A: At this moment in time we are not accepting fitting appointments and we are only offering an online service. We also do our best with making sure we have high quality photos of our products using very bright white lighting so we do not have misleading images of our products on our website. If you want to see the wig in daylight, contact us so we can take a quick snapshot for you.  

Q: What is the order delivery time? 

A: We don't want any of our customers to wait so all our wigs are in stock and we dispatch them the next business. We process and send out orders through NZ Post couriers and can dispatch the same day if ordered before midday and you need it urgently. We do this before any funds clear, in good faith, to make sure our customers get their goods as soon as possible. Our website is up to date showing what we have in stock - if it is not available then it is on its way. If you are in Auckland you can pick it up from St Lukes - just let us know. We are not a stock to order business. How long it gets to you depends on the shipping method you choose when you check out. Please note that we are unable to control any unforeseen circumstances our shipping carrier may experience in trying to deliver your purchase on our behalf.

Q: Do you accept and process Ministry of Health wig subsidy grants?

A: Yes we do - we are a Ministry of Health approved supplier and can process your wig grant subsidy. Our wigs are suitable for hair loss caused by alopecia, cancer, medication and auto-immune conditions. Get in touch and we can help walk you through this process or click here.

Q: Do you make custom wigs?

A: Yes we do and we proudly make them here in New Zealand ourselves - we do not outsource this service to China. This is a consultative process and will require 2-3 fittings depending on your customisation requests. We make custom full lace wigs in mono and silk base combinations. This is a premium service so please contact us for a friendly free of charge consultation. 

Q: Are your lace front wigs suitable for hair loss?

A: Human hair wigs are very expensive so our lace front styles are great cost effective alternatives. We are not hair loss experts but we are experts in making hand-tied lace, mono and silk combinations wigs, wig toppers and ponytail wig and hair pieces. We can help if you want to talk through alternatives. The difference can be life changing and we just want to help! 

Q: Are your wigs synthetic or human hair wigs?

A: We only sell synthetic hair wigs. This is why our wigs are so affordable compared to human hair options. Our beautiful styles are indistinguishable aesthetically to human hair and are heat friendly. 

Q: How long do synthetic hair wigs last?

A: All synthetic lace front wigs have a shelf life of up to 6 months of everyday wear if cared for correctly. Synthetic lace front wigs are all made the exact same way. Human hair lace front wigs will last slightly longer. Only a full lace wig, synthetic or human hair, will last 1-2 years and longer if looked after properly. Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes we do. We have a flat shipping fee for all orders outside New Zealand and Australia. Shipping times are 3-10 days or 1-5 if using express shipping.

Q: Is your postage packaging unbranded? 

A: Yes it is. We use plain black mailer bags that have no to reference our business and that are 100% compostable. Inside however the wig is packaged in a luxurious re-useable branded satin draw string bag. You can use it for storage or for travelling. 

Q: Can I return or exchange my wig for a different style?

A: In light of the recent covid-19 epidemic, we will no longer be accepting returns for wigs for hygiene and safety reasons. We will only offer a refund if the item is faulty because of manufacturing defaults. You may exchange the wig for another of a similar amount or transfer the amount to a gift card. We can not accept returns for items incurring damage from postage as we do not have any control over how the courier delivers products. 

Q: How will my private information be stored and or used by Oceanic Hair Collection?

A: We use Shopify's secure encryption platform to keep your contact and payment information private. Oceanic Hair Collection and Shopify will never share your information with anyone unless required to by the authorities and we will notify you before any information is shared. As required by NZ Law, we will keep keep your information for a minimum of 7 years. You may request to have access to your information at anytime.
